An artist’s creative vision is their ability to conceptualize with imagination, intention, and wisdom; a strategic plan to relate an intentional idea or message of deeper value through their artistic work. There is power in a visual creative’s acute awareness for artistically capturing moments worth remembering, and stories worth telling. Our stories are our most precious and valuable keepsakes. The desire to have our stories told calls for a continuation of Black artistry.

Our art—Black art, is an expression and representation of our life, culture, and our stories through the most intimate lens—our own. When we tell our authentic stories, we free ourselves and allow others the freedom to tell theirs.
